Darryl Schick is a graduate of the Lower Merion school district and holds a Bachelors degree in engineering from University of Pennsylvania, a Masters degree in engineering from Drexel University, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Darryl studied clarinet at a young age under Leon Lester of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and while attending the Lower Merion School District was the first chair clarinet in the Bala-Cynwyd Middle School band, orchestra, and show orchestra. While attending Lower Merion high school, Darryl studied guitar with Chet Makowski at the Medley Music School in Bryn Mawr. He later studied voice for three years with Manuel Lujan, performed as guitarist and frontman of the rock cover band Infinity in Melbourne, Florida from 1985-1988, and studied classical piano from 1990-1995 before founding the Music Training Center.
Prior to founding Music Training Center in 2002, Darryl worked in the consumer electronics and software engineering fields, and worked as a trainer and consultant for companies in the US and internationally in the field of wireless digital data technology.
