MTC Summer Camp Friday Workshops – August 14, 2020

Sessions run 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes in length

10:00  – 11:15 AM

  • Create Your Own Video Choreography (taught by Jen Grasso) – Have you ever wanted to create your own dance like you see on TikTok? This workshop will give you the ability create your own choreography to build into our own group dance.  Bring song ideas so we can choose a song together!  You will receive a video of our final product! 
  • Who Committed The Crime? (taught by Justin Caiazzo) – (Also offered at 11:30 AM) – Watch as a mystery unfolds and improvise as a team to uncover who among you is the secret perpetrator of the crime!
  • Character Improv! (taught by Felicia Kaufmann) – Enjoy improvisation games and exercises while creating funny and unique characters along the way! Let’s create and improv together! 

11:30 AM – 12:45 PM

  • Princess Mime and Dance (taught by Jen Grasso) – Let’s have fun creating our own Princesses! Bring costume pieces, clothes, crowns, props, or anything you have lying around the house! Once we create our own Princesses, we will put together a Princess dance scene! 
  • Who Committed The Crime? (taught by Justin Caiazzo) – (Also offered at 10:00 AM) – Watch as a mystery unfolds and improvise as a team to uncover who among you is the secret perpetrator of the crime!

1:30 PM – 2:45 PM

  • Basements and Beasts (taught by Anthony Azzolina) –  A simplified Role Playing Game inspired by Dungeons and Dragons with a focus on improvisation skills, voice acting, and character development. Create a character and drop them into the choose your own adventure story that the Narrator has created.”
  • Work The Face! (taught by Felicia Kaufmann) – Every actor needs to work on creating real emotion while being on zoom alone or as a group in person. Come have fun with various warm-ups, games and exercies to work on making your emotions/ facial expressions on ‘stage’ or ‘screen’ POP!
