Ashley Oros, Flute Instructor
Ashley Oros is holds a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from Temple University Boyer College of Music. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Temple University under Mr. David Cramer, former Associate Principal Flute of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Mrs. Prema Kesselman, former Principal Flute of the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ashley has performed as Principal Flute with the Temple Symphony Orchestra, as well as with the Opera Orchestra, Composers Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, Concert Orchestra and Wind Symphony. She has also performed in master classes with Marina Puccinini, Leone Buyse, Brad Garner, Göran Marcusson, Bonita Boyd, Alexa Still (ZAWA): Jill Felber & Claudia Andersen, Stephen Preston, and Lea Pearson among others.
Before moving to the United States to attend college, Ashley performed with several Santiago, Chile area youth orchestra’s, including the Orquesta de Camara Estudiantil de Santiago and Orquesta Juvenil de Lo Barnechea. She has performed solos and participated in festivals in the United States, France, Italy, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
An enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, Ashley has taught flute at the International School Nido de Aguilas in Santiago, Chile, and ran a flute studio in the Santiago area. She is an advocate of the Alexander Technique and incorporates it into her lessons; she is working on becoming certified in the near future. She loves learning from her students and watching them grow as they make music an important part of life.
