Bridget Appicello – School Co-Director, MTC Montgomeryville
Bridget Appicello is a graduate of University of Delaware with a BA in Communications, where she hosted a weekly morning radio show on WVUD 91.3 for three years.
After graduation Bridget moved to Oahu, Hawaii where she led an outreach program for low income students living on a remote pineapple plantation. She then began teaching at an elementary school with a primary focus on English as a second language students. Later she taught math, reading, and writing classes at a middle school to students with special needs and behavioral issues. While on Oahu, Bridget played the keyboard and sang back-up vocals for a popular island/hip-hop band, producing an original album and touring Tahiti and several Hawaiian Islands.
Bridget hopped islands to Maui where she focused on her musical endeavors, playing with a folk trio and later singing solo at local restaurants while accompanying herself on ukulele and piano. After a few years, she moved to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands where she performed several nights a week at local beach bars, restaurants, hotels, and wedding venues, and also joined a synth-pop band and island duo.
Bridget currently performs with a reggae band as a singer and keyboardist. She continues to work on her original music and aspires to write songs for other artists. Her favorite part of Music Training Center is the shared love of music among the students, teachers, and staff!
