Charles Sekel – Piano Instructor
Charles Sekel is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Piano Performance. Prior to attending Peabody, Charles studied at the Juilliard Pre-College program.
Charles specializes in early music education and is the author of the children’s book “Ming’s Masterpiece” which focuses on ear training and features 12 original companion songs.
Charles has performed at music festivals in the United States, Spain, Czech Republic and France. In 2012, he founded the music collective First Blush, which performed in New York City venues including The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, Tammany Hall and Arlene’s Grocery.
