Gabriel Romero – Cello Instructor

Gabe Romero is completing his final year at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music earning his undergraduate degree in Music Education with Cello concentration. Gabe studies with Jeffrey Solow and performs in the Temple University Symphony Orchestra.
Prior to attending the Boyer College of Music, Gabe was the principal cellist in his high school orchestra, and participated in the LISFA and SCMEA music festivals. He was also honored as an New York All-State alternate cellist in 2017.
Gabe’s other musical ventures include playing piano for jazz bands and church groups, singing bass in high school and university choirs, playing guitar, and audio production. He is also an avid music listener and a huge Beatles fan.
Gabe teaches with the Philadelphia String Project and also volunteers virtually at Music Service Learning where he has gained valuable special education experience by working as a 1:1 aide.
A native Long Islander, Gabe is often happiest when enjoying a good slice of pizza or long walk on the beach. At MTC, he hopes to provide a strong foundation in cello-playing technique and note reading as well as to help build a lifelong love of music in a fun, engaging way.
