Howie Gordon, Piano Instructor
Howie Gordon is a graduate of University of the Arts with a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance and concentrations in composition and music technology.
Howie is a recipient of the Steinway Award for Outstanding Pianistic Ability, Musicianship, and Artistic and Academic Scholarship, and the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences Award for Excellence in the Field of Music and the Recording Arts and Sciences. He is a skilled pianist and teacher of classical, jazz, and popular music.
From 2003 to 2011, Howie served as Director of Private Lesson Programs at Music Training Center, where he developed MTC’s curriculum and taught piano to students of all ages. Howie is currently on faculty at Montgomery County Community College, where he teaches digital music technology, music theory, piano, and directs the college jazz ensembles. He has also taught Audio Production at Rowan University.
Alongside his teaching, Howie has been an active musician in the Philadelphia area for over 25 years. He is an experienced studio musician, working extensively with Grammy® nominated producer David Ivory, and has performed session work at Dylanava Studios, Sigma Sound, Studio 4, and Philadelphia International Records.
