Jean Lin, Piano Instructor
Jean Lin is a graduate of the Mannes School of Music with a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance where she studied under Pavlina Dokovska, and a graduate of the Temple University Boyer College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance as a student of Dr. Mikhail Yanovitsky. Jean studied Piano Pedagogy at Temple University under professor Maria del Pico Taylor with specialization in secondary piano classroom teaching, and studied piano instruction under professor Adrienne Kim at the Mannes School of Music.
Jean has performed in the Mannes Sounds Festival Concerts in New York from 2016-2018, in the Aigues-Vives en Musiques Festival in 2011, Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival in 2016, and the Beijing International Musical Festival and Academy in 2016. She has performed as a soloist with the Landsdowne Symphony Orchestra in and the Ocean City NJ Pops Orchestra.
Prior to attending Temple University, Jean was selected in a nationwide audition to perform in the American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall, and was the 1st prize winner in the chamber music division of the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey, the 2nd prize winner in the Tri-County Competition, the 2nd prize winner in the Marian Garcia Competition at Penn State University, and the 1st prize winner of the Wildflower Piano Competition.
