Joseph AielloJoe Aiello holds a Master of Music Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Joe also studied with Frank Epstein of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Michael Bookspan of the Philadelphia Orchestra, jazz great Freddie Waits and Philadelphia icon and drum teacher Al Ipri.
Joe was on the music faculty and head of the percussion department at the University of Southern Maine and has been teaching privately for over 20 years. Many of his students have gone on to successful music careers having graduated from West Chester University, Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music.
Joe is a published composer of percussion music having been reviewed by John Beck of the Eastman School of Music in Percussive Arts Magazine. He has been the stage drummer and lead percussionist with many musical productions in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. He was the drummer and percussionist for the national and international tours of the theatrical production “I Can’t Stop Loving You – The Genius of Ray Charles” and performed with the touring Broadway cast of “Ain’t Misbehavin”. He has performed in showrooms at Caesars’ Hotel, Resorts International, Harrahs Resorts and Trump Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He has performed with legendary jazz vocalist Chris Murrell of the Count Basie Orchestra in clubs and concert halls throughout the world.
