Katie Pelletier – Voice Instructor
Katie Pelletier is a graduate of Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance with a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance and has worked with several well-respected teachers including William Stone, Hilda Harris and Roberta Knie. While she studied opera and art songs intensely during college, she has also performed a variety of genres including Broadway, light rock, pop, and contemporary worship.
Katie has taught students from beginner to advanced levels and is particularly known for her creative, inspiring, and fun ways to engage and educate her students. Her students have achieved high standards including being accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, performing lead roles in school musicals, and hand picked for selective choirs. She is well versed teaching students both classical and belting techniques.
Katie was a founding teacher at the summer camp of The Ark After-School Children’s program in Philadelphia, and often musically directs local theatre. Additionally, she has enjoyed conducting adult and student choirs including Calvary Church of Wyncote’s seasonal choir for adults, Perkiomen Middle School’s choir and various summer children camps. Katie’s warm and creative musical approach has supported her teaching students with special needs. She joins them in their work towards diction progress, enhancing communication, integrating social skills, and dexterity.
An avid performer, Katie participated in King of Prussia Player’s production of Ragtime and Footlighter Theater’s sold out production of Broadway Sings!. She continually participates in local theatre productions, particularly in selective cabarets. Other favorite past credits include Così fan tutte, The Cunning Little Vixen, Grease, Kiss Me Kate, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls and West Side Story.
