Moira Gannon – Voice Instructor

Moira Susan Gannon is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and Master of Music degree in Voice Pedagogy and Performance.   Moira has studied in the voice studios of Robin Massie and Sally Wolf.  She has also presented her voice research at several conferences including the New Jersey National Association of Teacher’s of Singing conference.
Moira performs with The Same Stream Choir based in Princeton, NJ and the Mendelssohn Club Chorus in Philadelphia. She can be heard on the GRAMMY-nominated Annelies and as a soprano soloist in the album Hole in the Sky. She studied and performed at St. Stephen’s College in Oxford, UK. She has sung at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, Avery Fisher Hall, and Alice Tully Hall with orchestras including Philadelphia Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Vienna Philharmonic.
Moira’s goal as a teacher is to empower students with the gift of their own voice. She teaches each individual to sing freely while building musicianship, musicality, and vocal technique. Her studio is an encouraging environment that fosters healthy development of the singing voice and growth of character. The voice is an extension of ourselves; therefore it is her intention to teach students with great care and patience.
