Nina Siniakova holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov conservatory, a Master of Music from St.Petersburg Conservatory, a Bachelor of Music from Minsk Glinka Music College, and a Diploma in Composition from the Cologne Academy of Music. She has also studied acting professionally.
Nina has over 25 years experience teaching children, adults, and professional musicians. Her accomplishments including having been the winner of the Petrov Symphony Music Composers Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia, where her Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra for the first time in the history of competition received both the first prize and People’s Choice award. Her other awards include Grant of St. Petersburg Government, German DAAD stipend, residency at Flushing Town Hall, NYC through Exploring The Metropolis program.
Among her compositions are orchestral works, ballet suits, chamber works, music for choir, children’s music, jazz compositions and incidental music. As a composer and a pianist she has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, Symphony Space in New York, Academy of Music in Philadelphia, Harvard University, St. Petersburg and Minsk Philharmonic, Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Zink Jazz Bar New York and many others. Nina’s performance style inspired distinctive Russian composers to write and dedicate their piano compositions to her. In 2019 Nina Siniakova releases her solo album “One Step From Love” featuring original piano arrangements of popular tunes of 70s.
