Yeon Nam, Piano Instructor
Yeon Nam is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. While at APSU, she studied orchestral and choral conducting, piano pedagogy, Alexsander Technique and Suzuki books 1, 2 and 3.
Yeon has been playing the piano since she was 6 years old and began playing at church as an accompanist when she was 12. In high school, Yeon played for the school choir for 3 years.
Yeon is a winner of the Austin Peay State University Young Artist Competition 2007 and 2008, as well as the Nashville Symphony Piano Competition 2009. Yeon has also been the recipient of the Blair School of Music (Vanderbilt University) Scholarship for 2007 and 2008.
Yeon is very passionate about teaching students to find their first love of music. She also enjoys helping young musicians find a path to musical careers.
